The Cathy Newman Show is coming to Sky News later this month. It brings a fresh take on all the news and interviews you could want.
Sky News has announced The Cathy Newman Show, a major new flagship programme launching on 27 April across TV and digital platforms. Fronted by award-winning journalist Cathy Newman, the show offers a fresh take on the 7 pm slot: combining political journalism, agenda-setting interviews, debate, and exclusive investigations in a warm, conversational format.
“With the local elections coming up, it feels like the perfect time to get started,” says Cathy. “I’m looking forward to welcoming guests onto the orange velvet sofa for big interviews, exclusives, and real conversations that help make sense of it all. Join me from next week for a friendly but forensic chat.”
Longer-form investigations and documentaries will sit alongside the show, with a new podcast launching this autumn.
WHEN IS THE SHOW ON?
You can watch The Cathy Newman Show live from 7 pm, 27 April. It airs Monday to Thursday on Sky News and YouTube. Additionally, the show is presented from Sky News’ Westminster studio.

ABOUT CATHY NEWMAN
Cathy was named Network Journalist of the Year by the Royal Television Society in March 2025. She also received the RTS award for interview of the year for her exclusive sit-down with Welby. In that same year, she earned the titles of Journalist of the Year and Interviewer of the Year at the British Journalism Awards. The Society of Editors honored her as Broadcast Journalist of the Year. Women in Journalism recognized her as Woman of the Year, and she won TV News Story of the Year at the Foreign Press Association Media Awards. Moreover, Cathy is also an author of 3 books and presents Friday Drive Time on Times Radio.
