A New Trailer for Prime Video's Spider-Noir Series Swings Into Action!

Look out, Spider-Verse fans, because Prime Video has just revealed a new trailer for Nicolas Cage’s Spider-Noir.

After weeks of radio silence, we are suddenly eating extremely well with content drops for Prime Video’s upcoming Spider-Noir series. The show, led by Hollywood legend Nicolas Cage, is swinging out of the pages of Marvel and onto Prime Video in May, and the hype is building. In the show, Nicolas Cage plays vintage Spider-Man, Ben Reilly, and defends 1930s New York against a gallery of supervillains. The series will land on Prime Video in True-Hue full color and authentic Black & White on May 27 as a binge release.

Last week saw the debut of some atmospheric new posters. But over the weekend, the series took over the Centro Banamex Convention Center in Mexico City for CCXPMX26, the world’s largest pop culture festival. Stars Lamorne Morris, Li Jun Li, Jack Huston, and Karen Rodriguez took to the stage, with a special video greeting from Nicolas Cage to unveil a glorious new look at the series. But thankfully, that footage isn’t just reserved for those in attendance. It has emerged from the Spider-Verse and into our inbox for an early Monday treat. So, what are you waiting for? Swing down to the new trailer and get ready for some vintage Spidey awesomeness!

SYNOPSIS

“Spider-Noir tells the story of an aging and down on his luck private investigator (Cage) in 1930s New York, who is forced to grapple with his past life as the city’s one and only superhero.”

Full cast includes Academy Award®-winning actor Nicolas Cage (Adaptation, Pig), Emmy Award®-winning actor Lamorne Morris (Fargo, New Girl), Li Jun Li (Sinners, Babylon), Abraham Popoola (Atlas, Slow Horses), Karen Rodriguez (The Hunting Wives, Acapulco), with SAG Award®-winning actor Jack Huston (Boardwalk Empire, Day of The Fight), and Emmy Award®-winning and Academy Award®-nominated actor Brendan Gleeson (The Banshees of Inisherin, Harry Potter). Guest star cast includes Lukas Haas, Cameron Britton, Cary Christopher, Michael Kostroff, Scott MacArthur, Joe Massingill, Whitney Rice, Amanda Schull, Andrew Caldwell, Amy Aquino, Andrew Robinson, and Kai Caster.

Spider-Noir is produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for MGM+ and Prime Video. Emmy Award®-winning director Harry Bradbeer (Fleabag, Killing Eve) directed and executive-produced the first two episodes. Oren Uziel (The Lost City, 22 Jump Street) and Steve Lightfoot (Marvel’s The Punisher, Shantaram) serve as co-showrunners and executive producers. Uziel and Lightfoot developed the series with the Academy Award®-winning team behind Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse: Phil Lord, Christopher Miller, and Amy Pascal. Lord and Miller executive produce for their shingle Lord Miller along with Aditya Sood and Dan Shear. Amy Pascal also serves as an executive producer via Pascal Pictures. Cage and Pavlina Hatoupis also serve as executive producers.

What a sensational new trailer, packed with more Spidey iconography and supervillains than you can sling a web at. With Brendan Gleeson starring as the legendary Spider-Man villain Silvermane, and Rhino, Sandman, and Electro all featuring in the series, Marvel fans have tons to look forward to. Although we can’t reveal much, we’ve seen some of the series and cannot wait to share our thoughts with you. Spider-Man Noir was one of the major highlights of the Spider-Verse movies, and it’s exciting to continue his story in live-action. With Nicolas Cage returning as the character, the series promises to be a banger. Produced by Sony Pictures Television exclusively for Prime Video, the hotly anticipated series will debut globally in more than 240 countries and territories. For a special, unique viewing experience, Spider-Noir will be available to stream in two ways: “Authentic Black & White” and “True-Hue Full Color,” so audiences can choose their own journey.
