Unleash the Dark Side with the new character poster for Darth Vader from Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord.
With the first season now complete and the Dark Lord of the Sith arriving to push Maul to the brink of defeat, Lucasfilm has released the final character poster from Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord. The sensational new animated series delivered a sensational two-part season finale this week, with Maul dueling with Marrok and the Eleventh Brother. But just when you thought the odds couldn’t be more stacked against Maul and his band of survivors, Darth Vader emerged from the shadows to join the fight.
With Devon dueling with the dreaded duo of Inquisitors, Maul and Master Eeko-Dio-Daki confronted Darth Vader head-on. But when the Dark Lord of the Sith is involved, the odds just weren’t in their favor. Vader’s debut was a jaw-dropping moment that changed the course of the series forever. Vader’s rage was out in full force, leading to a thrilling finale that will live long in the memory. So it comes as no surprise that Vader has claimed the final character poster of the season.
Like the previous releases, the glorious one-sheets feature the eye-catching red-and-black skin-toned background of the legendary former Sith. If Vader’s poster isn’t enough to have you gleaming with delight, Lucasfilm also released a poster to bookend the season. Considering much of the series was devoted to Maul’s quest to turn Devon to the dark side, both feature on the poster. Maul looms over his new apprentice with dark, ominous intent, while Devon stands before her master, ready to embrace his teachings. Take a look below.
SYNOPSIS
After a two-episode premiere on Disney+ April 6, 2026, and two episodes each week leading to a finale on Star Wars Day, May the 4th, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord presents fans with a pulpy adventure that finds Maul plotting to rebuild his criminal syndicate on a planet untouched by the Empire. There, he crosses paths with a disillusioned young Jedi Padawan who may just be the apprentice he is seeking to aid him in his relentless pursuit for revenge.
Created by Dave Filoni, Star Wars: Maul – Shadow Lord is based on Star Wars and characters created by George Lucas. The series is developed by Dave Filoni and Matt Michnovetz. Brad Rau is supervising director. The executive producers are Dave Filoni, Athena Yvette Portillo, Matt Michnovetz, Brad Rau, Carrie Beck, and Josh Rimes. Alex Spotswood is the co-executive producer.

We were lucky enough to have an early look at the series and had a blast with its darker tone, brutal action, and gripping storyline. In his FIVE-STAR review, Thomas Storai said:

Sadly, with the first season now complete, this latest poster drop is the final one of the season. But it has been a rollercoaster ride of pure Star Wars brilliance. The series has been littered with awesome new characters, and it has been a joy watching them idolized on a glorious character poster. From Maul to Rook Kast, and Lawson to Two Boots, every character has been rewarded with their time in the spotlight. Let’s hope Season 2 arrives sooner rather than later, and we can get back to welcoming new characters on another treasure trove of posters.
