Prime Video has revealed the first trailer for The Boys prequel series, Vought Rising, starring Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy!
With the series finale of The Boys now bookending the adventures of Homelander and Billy Butcher, one could be forgiven for thinking this was the end of the road for the Supes. But if you thought the adventures were done, you were dead wrong. Today, the streamer has shared the first teaser for the upcoming prequel series, Vought Rising. The series, set in the 1950s, explores the twisted origins of Vought International and the rise of Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy! But if that wasn’t enough to coax you back to the world of The Boys, Aya Cash makes her triumphant return as Stormfront.

THE SERIES
Prime Video today revealed the first look at Vought Rising, the highly anticipated new series set within the world of the multi-Emmy Award-winning global phenomenon, The Boys, starring Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash. The electrifying teaser offers a first glimpse at the next chapter, premiering in 2027.
Vought Rising marks the further expansion of the global franchise. Set in the 1950s, the prequel series explores the twisted origins of Vought International. The teaser offers a diabolical first look at the world and story that will define this next evolution of the franchise.
CAST & CREW
Vought Rising will star Jensen Ackles and Aya Cash, who will also serve as producers. The series also stars Mason Dye, Will Hochman, KiKi Layne, Jorden Myrie, Nicolo Pasetti, Elizabeth Posey, Ricky Staffieri, and Brian J. Smith.
Paul Grellong will serve as showrunner and executive producer. Eric Kripke, Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, James Weaver, Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Ori Marmur, Ken Levin, Jason Netter, Garth Ennis, Darick Robertson, Michaela Starr, and Jim Barnes also serve as executive producers on the series. The series is produced by Sony Pictures Television and Amazon MGM Studios, in association with Kripke Enterprises, Point Grey Pictures, and Original Film.

Say what you will about The Boys, but it was an outrageous bloodbath of sex-fuelled hilarity. For all intents and purposes, it looks like Vought Rising is taking the torch and running headlong into 2027 with a mandate to live up to the hype. Whether it can remains to be seen, but either way, with Soldier Boy and Stormfront back in the mix, it promises to be a banger!
