Following the official announcement, Crunchyroll today announced it will stream the upcoming anime adaptation of Kagurabachi, based on the manga by Takeru Hokazono. The series is slated to premiere in April 2027. It will stream on Crunchyroll worldwide, excluding Japan, Mainland China, North Korea, and South Korea.
Kagurabachi has quickly emerged as one of the most talked-about new titles in Weekly Shonen Jump. It is drawing strong fan anticipation for its stylized action and striking visual identity. The previously released teaser trailer and visual offer a first look at protagonist Chihiro Rokuhira and the enchanted blade, Enten. As a result, this sets the stage for the story’s unfolding conflict.
Tetsuya Takeuchi directs the anime adaptation, while Keigo Sasaki designs the characters. Cypic, known for works like Umamusume: Cinderella Gray and The Summer Hikaru Died, handles the animation production.
The Japanese voice cast announced thus far includes Taihi Kimura as Chihiro Rokuhira, Tomokazu Seki as Kunishige Rokuhira, and Katsuyuki Konishi as Togo Shiba.
Today’s announcement reveals that Katsuyuki Konishi has joined the cast as Togo Shiba, and fans can now check out the character’s visual and trailer. This gives everyone a closer look at one of the series’ key characters.

In addition to its broadcast and streaming debut, organizers have confirmed a global “World Tour” of early episode screenings, giving fans around the world the chance to experience Kagurabachi ahead of its premiere.
