THE PREMISE
Based on the bestselling novel by Constance Debré, Anna Cazenave Cambet’s moving drama LOVE ME TENDER follows Clémence (Vicky Krieps; Phantom Thread, Corsage, Father Mother Sister Brother). She finds herself fighting an unjust system that demands she prove she’s fit to mother her own child—simply because of who she loves. The film premiered to great acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival. It will be released in UK and Irish cinemas on 7th August.
Clémence (Vicky Krieps) has built a careful life. After leaving her career as a lawyer to become a writer, she has an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, Laurent (Antoine Reinartz). They share custody of their son, Paul. However, when she falls in love with Sarah (Monia Chokri) and finally begins living as her authentic self, Laurent files for sole custody of Paul.
Led by a captivating performance from Vicky Krieps, LOVE ME TENDER is a powerful and deeply affecting story of motherhood, desire, and one woman’s fight to live. It is also about her fight to love—on her own terms.

Love Me Tender will be in UK and Irish cinemas on August 7th.
