Curated by MUBI, the Sonic Journeys Weekender is a showcase of films defined by unforgettable music. These films also feature masterful scores and immersive sound design.
MUBI, the global distributor, streaming service, and production company, and Everyman present Sonic Journeys Weekender. It is a three-day celebration of films defined by exceptional music, scores, and sound design. The event takes place from 7-9 August at Everyman Screen on the Green.
Platforming films of every frequency, the program includes concert docs about legendary figures in the music industry; horror and sci-fi films that utilize music in beautiful and innovative ways; and beloved movies with award-winning sound design, masterful scores, and iconic needle drops.

Opening the weekender on Friday 7 August is one of the first UK screenings of Jane Schoenbrun’s Cannes Queer Palme winner, Teenage Sex And Death At Camp Miasma, presented in partnership with Crack. There will be a pre-screening DJ set by Hannah Holland. Starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson, this is a new kind of slasher film. Additionally, it features an indelible soundtrack by Alex G.
