Everyone steers clear of opening anything else this week as Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings in to boost the cinema entertainment!
Every once in a while, we get a week at the cinema where only one film will open. Sometimes it’s a smaller release, other times it could be a fairly major film. But this week, everyone steers clear of opening anything. Why? Because the cinematic juggernaut everyone has been waiting for is opening today. Of course, I’m talking about Spider-Man: Brand New Day. The hottest ticket in town, studios know that they stand little chance of coming out on top in a box office battle with our friendly neighborhood web-crawler. With one smaller film opening this week, it’s an open road for Spidey to clean up at the box office.

Synopsis: Peter Parker devotes his life to protecting New York City as a full-time Spider-Man. “Overall, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is a phenomenal outing for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. By taking the story back to basics and grounding it in its original sandbox, Destin Daniel Cretton has crafted a genre-defining outing that will easily become the blueprint for the character moving forward. This is quintessential Spider-Man, and it delivers on every level.”
