Sky Releases The First Teaser And Images For The New Sky Original, War

Sky has today released the first teaser and images for season one of WAR, the bold new Sky Original, a returning legal drama from George Kay (Lupin, Hijack), starring Dominic West and Sienna Miller. The series is set in the high-stakes world of two of London’s most prestigious rival law firms. Following its two-series order, production is currently underway on series two. This is ahead of the first series launching this October.
THE PREMISE
The eight-part series delves into the high-stakes lives of London’s most powerful lawyers. Firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne clash over a headline-grabbing legal battle. This draws ambitious young lawyer Jonathan “Johnny” Warren, played by Archie Renaux (Alien: Romulus, Upgraded), into a ruthless world. In this world, ambition is currency, betrayal is strategy, and winning is everything.
Series one follows the explosive divorce of British tech entrepreneur Morgan Henderson (Dominic West) and international film star Carla Duval (Sienna Miller). Law firms Cathcarts & Sons and Taylor & Byrne stop at nothing to secure victory for their clients.

Also starring in series one are Phoebe Fox as Serena Byrne and James McArdle as Nicholas Taylor, who are partners in life and business at Taylor & Byrne. Nina Sosanya appears as Beatrice “Queen Bea” Ubosi and Pip Torrens as St John Smallwood, their counterparts and fierce rivals at Cathcarts & Sons. The series also stars Celia Imrie, Nick Mohammed, Emma Laird, Aran Murphy, Archie Panjabi, Adrian Scarborough, Shaheen Jafargholi, Akiya Henry, Honor Swinton Byrne, Miles Jupp, Kartanya Maynard, Alexandra Mardell, Dylan Murphy, Mark Quartley, and Steve Furst.
THE SERIES CREDITS
“WAR” features a collaboration between New Pictures, a Banijay company, and Observatory Pictures, alongside Sky and HBO. George Kay created, wrote, and executive-produced the series. Willow Grylls and Matt Sandford from New Pictures also serve as executive producers. For Sky, Susan Breen, Ben Taylor, Andrea Dewsbury, and Megan Spanjian take on executive producer roles. Ben Taylor leads the direction, while Laurie Borg handles the production.
WAR will air on Sky and streaming service NOW in the UK, Ireland, and Italy, and on Sky and WOW in Germany, Switzerland, and Austria. Additionally, it will air on HBO and will be available to stream on HBO Max in the U.S., Australia, Southeast Asia, Latin America, France, and Belgium. Meanwhile, international sales of the series will be handled by NBCUniversal Global TV Distribution.
SERIES 2
The series has been greenlit with a two-season order from Sky and HBO and is currently in production on season two. Marisa Tomei, Kelly Macdonald, and David Harewood will star in the next headline-making legal battle, as their lawyers become embroiled in an explosive defamation case.
WAR will premiere in the UK on 2 October on Sky and streaming service NOW.
