Spider-Man, this ain’t!! But get ready for thousands of web and wall crawlers!

HA! This is my vengeance against all of you who made fun of my fear of snakes with the trailer for Beware Boiúna, which was released last week! Your skin will crawl this October as the new horror movie, Crawlers, webs its way into theaters. As you’d guess, it’s about deadly spiders wreaking havoc and death on people trapped inside an apartment block. The movie will be released by Roadside Attractions and Saban Films on October 16th. And so, you spider-hating people are in for a frightful time!

Actually, to be honest, I do have a slight fear of spiders. I didn’t have until I foolishly took my brother to see Arachnophobia back in 1990. The film managed to make me jump a few times, but my ‘darling’ brother decided to drop a sweet wrapper on my leg at a very tense moment, which made me almost hit the theater ceiling in fright! (Yeah, thanks, Phil!) But this looks to be more in the vein of Sting than Arachnophobia or Eight Legged Freaks (which I personally love), as the newly released red band trailer can attest to. Check it out below.

Ok, you can look out from behind your fingers now!

THE PREMISE

In CRAWLERS, when a man returns from a trip unwittingly harboring a new breed of arachnid, a catastrophic infestation of venomous and deadly spiders sends an apartment building into lockdown. Trapped inside by a police-mandated quarantine, building manager Serena and her residents battle to survive as the creatures multiply by the second. Armed with her intimate knowledge of the complex, Serena may be the only one who can keep them alive—if she can confront her deepest fear.
