Sky announces that the Oscar-nominated actor Jeff Goldblum will be the host of the Saturday Night Live UK season 2 premiere. Moreover, CMAT will appear as the musical guest.
Saturday Night Live UK  today announces the host and musical guest for the launch of its second series. On 12 September, Academy Award‑nominated actor and global icon Jeff Goldblum (Jurassic Park, Wicked) will take to the stage as the first host of the new series. Meanwhile, he will be joined by acclaimed Irish singer‑songwriter and Brit Award nominee CMAT.
Broadcast live each week, the series will once again welcome a different celebrity host and musical guest each episode, alongside topical sketches, live music performances, and a British take on the iconic Weekend Update segment.

BEHIND THE SERIES
SNL UK has a dynamic production team led by Universal Television Alternative Studios in the UK. They are working alongside Broadway Video. The show is created for Sky and NOW. Lorne Michaels is taking the reins as Executive Producer. Furthermore, James Longman is stepping in as Lead Producer.
UTAS UK Productions is led by Managing Director Helen Kruger Bratt. Andy Charles Smith actively contributes as Lead Producer, while Shanna Baynard oversees production as Executive in Charge, supported by Production Executive Hannah Peddar.
Phil Edgar-Jones, the Executive Director of Unscripted Originals at Sky, commissioned SNL UK. For SNL UK S2, Alex Moody, Head of Comedy Commissioning at Sky, commissioned it. And by Cecile Frot-Coutaz, CEO of Sky Studios and Chief Content Officer for Sky.
