This week in cinemas, Hugh Jackman notches his arrows in The Death Of Robin Hood, and we discover Gail Daughtry And The Celebrity Sex Pass!
As we enter the first week of September, we begin to see more films that the studios didn’t quite think would make it during the summer blockbuster season. Take one of this week’s biggest offerings, The Death Of Robin Hood. Hugh Jackman plays the legendary hero in a darker version of the legend. You would think this is the perfect summer fare to go alongside The Odyssey. However, the studio didn’t think so. Mind you, Gail Daughtry And The Celebrity Sex Pass may NOT have made much of a dent over the summer; more likely, it would have made a mint over Valentine’s Day! With two other releases to open alongside them this week, there’s plenty to start September off with a bang! (No pun intended!)

Our editor, Phil Roberts, saw the film and thought it was sensational, saying in his review:
“Overall, The Death of Robin Hood is a sensational piece of cinematic gold. It’s a haunting exploration of England’s greatest outlaw that strips away the bells and whistles and delivers a raw, gritty, compelling, and often deeply emotional story. Once it grabs hold, it refuses to let go. This is a story that commands our attention, challenges everything we think we know about the legend, and gives us plenty of meaty material to sink our teeth into.”
