The wait is almost over, as Disney+ announces Hulu Original “Rivals” Season Two will return with exclusive new episodes on November 11th. It will have a three-episode premiere in the UK and internationally. Additionally, it will stream on Hulu in the U.S.
Alongside the return date, Disney+ has also released new images, giving fans a first look at the rest of Season 2. The smash-hit British drama is based on Dame Jilly Cooper’s best-selling and beloved Rutshire Chronicles. It will continue with 6×60’ episodes packed full of secrets, betrayals and explosive twists.
THE NEWLY UNVEILED IMAGES
The newly unveiled images offer a gripping first look at what’s to come as the residents of Rutshire have been left reeling from tragedy, scandal and betrayal. The story picks up after the gut-wrenching mid-series finale. Now, Tony Baddingham and Declan O’Hara’s battle for the Cotswolds crown reaches fever pitch, while Rupert Campbell-Black is forced to confront his own personal demons. Against a backdrop of hedonistic parties, Bonfire Night chaos, the Hampshire Hunt Ball and a turbulent Christmas, affairs unravel, alliances fracture and rivalries intensify. In the middle of the frenzied franchise war, Taggie O’Hara must find the courage to follow her heart. Meanwhile, those around her face the consequences of ambition, power and secrets that can no longer remain hidden. But as series two draws to a close, who will get their happy ending?

In addition, Santiago Cabrera (‘Big Little Lies’, ‘Star Trek: Picard’) joins as Argentinian Polo legend Alejandro Mendoza. “Rivals,” produced by Happy Prince and part of ITV Studios, boasts an impressive team led by executive producers Dominic Treadwell-Collins (‘A Very English Scandal,’ ‘Holding,’ ‘EastEnders’) and Alexander Lamb (‘Ackley Bridge,’ ‘The Bay,’ ‘We Hunt Together’). Felicity Blunt and Elliot Hegarty, known for ‘Cheaters’ and ‘Ted Lasso,’ join the lineup, along with Olivier Award-winning playwright Laura Wade (‘The Riot Club’) and the acclaimed author Dame Jilly Cooper. Eliza Mellor, who has worked on ‘The Midwich Cuckoos’ and ‘Poldark,’ returns as Series Producer. The writing team features Treadwell-Collins, Wade, Sophie Goodhart, Sam Hoare, Mimi Hare, Clare Naylor, Sorcha Kurien-Walsh, and Dare Aiyegbayo. Elliot Hegarty, Jamie J Johnson, and Dee Koppang O’Leary take the directing reins. “Rivals” draws its story from the novel of the same name and is part of Cooper’s bestselling Rutshire Chronicles.
