We had an absolute blast with this phenomenal new series. In my FOUR-STAR review, I said: “Fear not, Reacher fans, because Maria Sten’s solo outing as Frances Neagley is an absolute blast from start to finish. The series feels like a natural expansion of the Reacher universe, giving its formidable leading lady room to step out of the shadows and grow into a character who can carry a story all on her own. And believe me, she does so with considerable style.
Yes, the formula remains familiar. The story setup follows the same well-worn path as its mothership series, and the sandbox feels instantly recognizable. But rather than feeling like a carbon copy, Neagley takes those familiar ingredients and gives them a fresh injection of energy. The structure plays to the strengths of its impressive ensemble, while Sten grabs the series by the scruff of the neck and hauls it across the finish line on her more-than-capable shoulders.
The result is a thrilling, hugely entertaining spin-off that proves there’s plenty of life left in the Reacher universe. And if this is the beginning of Neagley’s solo adventures, count me in for whatever comes next.” Read my full review here.
