Can you believe it? This December, The Terminator and Reacher are teaming up! And at Christmas too! Actually, it isn’t some big-budget, Hollywood action teaming. It’s actually a family Christmas movie. Coming to Prime Video on December 2nd is the biggest holiday heist of the year: The Man With The Bag. Arnold Schwarzenegger plays Santa Claus (no, really), and Alan Ritchson plays Vince, a thief who helps Santa when a naughty elf, played by Awkwafina, steals his bag.
Arnold Schwarzenegger returns to the Christmas genre after 30 years, taking on the role of Santa Claus. Could it be Jingle All The Way? (sorry, not sorry!). The film delivers a fresh, action-packed spin on holiday entertainment. It combines a high-stakes heist with the heart, humor, and festive spirit of Christmas. Joining Schwarzenegger, Ritchson, and Awkwafina are Berkeley James, Michael Cyril Creighton, Liza Koshy, Kyle Mooney, Jane Krakowski, and Ken Jeong. The teaser trailer and the first poster for the film have arrived from the North Pole.
THE PREMISE
When Santa’s (Schwarzenegger) iconic red bag is stolen by a rogue elf with a grudge (Awkwafina), Christmas is suddenly at risk. With his biggest night of the year fast-approaching, Santa recruits a thief (Ritchson) from his ‘Naughty List’ who quickly assembles a crew of criminally skilled misfits — with a little help from elves and reindeer — to pull off the most unexpected heist of their lives.
Packed with holiday magic, big laughs, and plenty of heart, THE MAN WITH THE BAG is a holiday heist adventure about second chances, unlikely friendships, and discovering that sometimes even Santa needs a little help delivering Christmas.
Adam Shankman directs the film from a script penned by Allan Rice. The producers include Lawrence Grey, Ben Everard, Reg Tigerman, Dan Spilo, and Alan Ritchson.
