The UK Box Office Top 10 has landed! Who’s ruling the box office, who’s climbing the charts, and who’s been knocked off the throne? Ready to see who made the cut? Let’s roll the credits!
Welcome to The Official UK Box Office Top 10—your home for the latest box office chart and the biggest films lighting up cinemas across the UK. From blockbuster superheroes to magical family favorites and must-see new releases, here’s a look at the movies audiences are flocking to this week.
This weekend saw the release of Tom Cruise’s latest film, Digger, but instead of striking oil, Digger hit an empty well. The latest adaptation of Colleen Hoover’s Verity was released and fared much better. Only one other new entry made the top ten; read on to find out what it was and how it did.

(1) Verity
Author Colleen Hoover’s latest adaptation, Verity, opened to £3,396,611. This opening tops the last one posted by the adaptation from March of this year, Reminders of Him, which opened to £1,081,953. Anne Hathaway is having a breakout year this year, and Verity keeps that going.
(2) Resident Evil
Resident Evil, now in its third weekend, brought in £1,337,563, a 40% drop from last weekend. Its overall total is £11,239,089, putting the film in a good position.
(3) Heart Of The Beast
Heart of the Beast has captured the hearts and minds of people at the cinema, as it only dropped 45% in its second weekend for a total of £1,141,551.

(4) Digger
Opening to just number 4, Digger made £1,089,898. This is a low opening, though it should be caveated that this is an original title, so it had no franchise reputation to draw from. That said, Tom Cruise is not an unknown actor, and Warner Bros. Discovery should have budgeted the film accordingly. For comparison, Tom Cruise’s last film, Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, opened to £8,579,185 in 2025. It is certainly unfair to compare the final goodbye of a franchise to an original film, but it suggests Digger is in a deep pit, and it seems even Tom Cruise’s star power can’t save it.
(5) Sense And Sensibility
Sense and Sensibility fell to number five with £975,932, down 37%. This is a low drop, with word of mouth strong on the film.
(6) Avengers: Endgame Encore
Avengers: Endgame Encore dropped a harsh 83% in its second weekend of re-release, bringing in a total of £711,353. Though this is a big fall-off and shows audiences treated it as a one-weekend event, not one they wanted to keep going, Endgame has more than made its money at the box office.

(7) Shaun The Sheep: The Beast Of Mossy Bottom
Shaun The Sheep: The Beast Of Mossy Bottom dropped 33% from its previous weekend, with a total of £551,356. Its overall total is now £3,227,545.
(8) Drishyam: The Conclusion
The final new film in the top ten, Drishyam: The Conclusion opened to £471,160, and is an Indian film following Vijay Salgaonkar and his family as they face a renewed, high-stakes investigation. While this seems unimpressive, it was only released in 151 cinemas. It has the second-highest per-cinema average for the weekend at £3,120, so this is a good opening for it.
(9) Practical Magic 2
Spending what is likely its final weekend in the top ten, Practical Magic 2 brought in £373,009 in its fourth weekend of release, a 52% drop from the previous weekend. Its overall total is £7,849,928.

(10) Pressure
The final film in the list, Pressure, comes in at number ten, with £281,358. Pressure has an overall total of £6,441,801, meaning the film has made about a tenth of its budget back from the UK and a fifth of its worldwide gross in the UK. So the film has been more popular in the UK than in other countries, and it has held up well under pressure.
Next weekend brings several new films, including The Social Reckoning, The Uprising, and Other Mommy.
