And if that isn’t enough to get you stirring your witches’ brew, Disney has another magical treat up its sleeve! The studio has announced that Hailee Steinfeld is stepping up to the microphone to deliver a newly recorded version of The Cars’ hit song “Magic”, and the new track is set to cast its spell on digital music platforms this Friday.
The enchanting new rendition will be available on Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music, and other digital platforms. But that’s not all! Disney is also conjuring up a special Hexed Spotify playlist, featuring Steinfeld’s take on “Magic” alongside several needle drops from the upcoming animated adventure. For those eager to soak up every last drop of musical magic, the complete Disney’s Hexed Official Soundtrack arrives on November 20. THE FILM
In Walt Disney Animation Studios’ all-new magical coming-of-age saga, “Disney’s Hexed,” an impulsive and unconventional teenage girl named Billie (voiced by Hailee Steinfeld) discovers secret magical abilities which, once unleashed, hurtle her out of suburbia and into a spectacle-filled journey through a vast witch realm called Hexe. Forced to team up with her cautious mother, Alice (voiced by Rashida Jones), they uncover family mysteries that could change the world of witches forever. Walton Goggins voices Beef Roger Crummchuk, a reclusive, magical three-eyed cat who forges an uneasy alliance with Billie and Alice. Two-time Academy Award® winner Jodie Foster voices Queen Celeste, a sinister figure who will stop at nothing to maintain her power in perpetuity over Hexe. The voice cast also includes Henry Winkler, Dan Stevens, Tracey Ullman and Stephen Fry.
The film is directed by Fawn Veerasunthorn and Jason Hand; co-directed by Josie Trinidad; produced by Roy Conli and Yvett Merino; written by Walt Disney Animation Studios Chief Creative Officer Jared Bush and Dana Ledoux Miller; and features an original score by Kris Bowers. “Disney’s Hexed” opens exclusively in cinemas November 27, 2026.
RELEASE
What a delightfully eerie new teaser. While Disney’s traditional animated offerings have often steered clear of witchcraft and darker fantasy themes, Hexed looks set to embrace them wholeheartedly. It’s a bold creative swing for the studio, but one that appears to be paying off spectacularly. From its haunting visuals to its enchanting atmosphere, the film already looks like something truly special. If this new glimpse is any indication, Hexed could be one of Disney’s most daring and visually striking projects in years—and we can’t wait to lose ourselves in its spellbinding darkness.
So, get ready for a rollercoaster ride when the film lands in UK cinemas on November 27th.
