Featuring the new song Sun Showers by Jisoo and alongside the new poster, the new trailer for The Angry Birds Movie 3 shows us that saving the world is a family affair.
To save the world, you can’t be chicken! Seven years after the last film, The Angry Birds Movie 3 releases this December. The third movie in the video game film franchise will flock to cinemas on December 23rd. Paramount Pictures distributes the film, which acquired the rights to the property from Sony Pictures, with Allied Gaming & Entertainment joining as an additional financier. The film is directed by John Rice and written by Thurop Van Orman, who directed the last film in the franchise. Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom, and Danny McBride reprise their roles from the previous films and are joined by more star names in this threequel. The new trailer for the film has flown in today. It’s time to get angry again.
It looks like another hilarious, fun-filled adventure for the whole family. With more clever plays on popular and, occasionally, offensive phrases, it feels like the film is going all out to have the entire audience in fits of laughter. And with the send-up of Amazon (named Hamarzon), adults will laugh as well as agree with the filmmakers.
THE PREMISE
This holiday season, one angry bird will face his greatest challenge yet, surviving fatherhood… while saving the world!
SUN SHOWERS
Did you catch it during the trailer? The song? It is named Sun Showers and is performed by Jisoo, the South Korean singer, actress, and member of Blackpink. She has provided new music for the film. You can pre-save the song here.
NEW CAST MEMBERS
Alongside the returning Jason Sudeikis as Red, Josh Gad as Chuck, Rachel Bloom as Silver, and Danny McBride as Bomb, new cast members join the franchise in this third adventure. Emma Myers portrays June, a creative, independent teenager and the only daughter of Red and Silver. Walker Scobell as Glider, an adventurous teenager and the eldest son of Red and Silver. And Psalm West as Olly, Red and Silver’s hatchling son. Marcello Hernández, Tim Robinson, Anna Cathcart, Maitreyi Ramakrishnan, Nikki Glaser, MrBeast, Salish Matter, Sam Richardson, James Austin Johnson, Lily James, and Keke Palmer also join the vocal cast. It has also been rumored that Sonic The Hedgehog will have a cameo in the film. Whether this turns out to be true, we will see when the film opens.
