London Film & Comic Con | Cosplay Round-Up

The best costumes from the world of fandom at LFCC

One of the greatest achievements for every fan is cannibalising, adjusting, refining and applying the finishing touches to a cosplay outfit that once incorporated is reflective of the genuine costume worn by the actual characters themselves. In fact, many cosplayers go to extreme lengths to achieve the desired results, and as a writer, one can only marvel at their devotion to the cause.

This past weekend, ShowmastersLondon Film & Comic Con was the place to be for cosplayers of all shapes, sizes and species and The Future of the Force was there to immerse ourselves in the passion of these incredibly devoted people. Whether your passion runs to The Predator, Harley Quinn, Spider-Man, Mary Poppins, the Power Rangers, or even Boba Fett, at LFCC there was a costume to meet your needs.

The event not only tailored to the fans but in the aptly named Star Wars Fan Zone where team Future of the Force joined with our friends at team Fantha Tracks, representatives from the 501st UK Garrison (reel-icons) and the Rebel Legion were out in force to share their fantastic costumes with the world.

These fantastic characters were captured around the event over the course of the entire three-day weekend and were gracious enough to share their experiences with Future of the Force.

These images are a true testament to the lengths these incredibly talented people will go to in order to step into the shoes of their heroes. Being a major Boba Fett and Darth Maul enthusiast, I couldn’t help but step into the frame for a photo with these amazing people who paraded around the event for hours on end in full armour and head to toe makeup. It is these devoted people who deserve our applause. Not only did they endure the ferocious temperatures in full costume, but they posed for photos, remained in character and heightened the experience for thousands of children who were mesmerized by the chance to see these icons of the screen in person for the very first time. These are the dream makers and they deserve to be recognised as such.

The force is truly them and we would personally like to take this opportunity to thank them all for showcasing their brilliance in this article. Please check out their respective websites here:
