Woody Harrelson’s notorious pirate arrives to add some gun slinging awesomeness to your Black Series collection…
“Assume everyone will betray you and you’ll never be disappointed.” – Tobias Beckett
The infamous scoundrel from Solo: A Star Wars Story has finally arrived in Black Series action figure collection and he’s amazing! Hasbro continues to nail it with its new figures. It looks exactly like Woody Harrelson. I would say that the sculpt and digital print tech are on par with the S.H. Figuarts collection for this figure (the one thing that’s not Figuarts level is the plastic used and the simplistic accessories), it’s really impressive! The use of a separate piece of plastic for the hair makes it so much better and far more “realistic.”
Tobias has a really nice outfit, it has a western feel that’s perfect for his smuggler/scoundrel/thief persona. His coat is made of soft, flexible plastic and has been sculpted on the left side in a way that allows you to pose him ready to draw his blaster for a fight, it was a really good idea from Hasbro! For this holster, the blaster fits nicely, no problems. However, it’s for the second holster, the one that his hidden by the coat where there’s a problem. It’s too tight so the blaster can’t properly fit and thus you can’t close the holster. Considering it’s hidden by the coat, I would say it’s a small detail and not a major detraction from what is an otherwise very impressive figure.
This figure has 18 points of articulation for great action poses and comes with two blaster pistols. The blasters are nicely detailed, well painted and … they’re not bent! That’s been a long-term problem which is manifesting less and less now so it’s a good thing, Hasbro seems to be working on this problem! The figure is movie accurate in terms of size and colors.
