Batwoman | First Look at Ruby Rose’s Awesome New Crimefighter

The mystery of the Batwoman is solved!

When Ruby Rose’s casting as CW’s Batwoman was announced to the world the reaction was mixed. Some fans were baffled, others elated but the homophobic abuse directed toward the actor was totally unjustified. The constant abuse forced her to withdraw from her social media accounts at a time when her latest blockbuster, The Meg was making headlines all over the world.

In the months that followed, a petition was launched with the objective of having the role of Batwoman recast before her debut in the traditional CW crossover event in December. Thankfully, this petition faded into the ether where it belongs and as we near the launch of the newest season of The Flash, Arrow and Supergirl, Batwoman’s involvement has officially been confirmed.

If her involvement in the Arrowverse wasn’t enough to whet our appetite, Warner Bros. television has just unveiled our first official look at Ruby Rose as the mysterious Batwoman. The image depicts our hero standing against the backdrop of a glistening Gotham City, with the Batwoman signal looming large in the sky…
