Black Series Review: Dengar | Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back

The iconic Bounty Hunter finally makes his long overdue debut in Hasbro’s Star Wars Black Series collection…

Dengar is the newest Bounty Hunter from The Empire Strikes Back that Hasbro has decided to release in its incredible Black Series collection! By January 2019, everyone will be able to get the entire collection of characters from the famous “Bounty Hunter Meeting”  in Black Series with the exception of Zuckuss which is proving to be an elusive exclusive for non-US collectors.

Even for a character that has 2-seconds of screentime in the movies, Hasbro has nailed it with the head sculpt and the digital paint application, it’s impressive! They respected the character’s size and his weight. The armor is screen accurate and nicely painted and detailed.

Dengar comes with his backpack, a blaster pistol that fits in the holster and a blaster rifle. It’s the same rifle as 4-LOM but with a different color.

This figure has 14 points of articulation allowing for great poses.

Final Thoughts:

I’m not necessarily fond of the character but it’s nice that Hasbro is producing more Bounty Hunters, hopefully, The Clone Wars is coming next, how awesome would it be to get Cad Bane, Aurra Sing, Embo or even C-21 Highsinger?

This is a good figure and a nice addition to the League of Bounty Hunters!
