Shazam! | New Poster Unveiled

Just say the word. Warner Bros has released a cool new poster for Zachary Levi’s Shazam!

With the DC Universe advertising campaign in full swing promoting James Wan’s upcoming DCEU blockbuster Aquaman, Warner Bros. has turned its attention to its next tentpole offering Shazam!

Heading our way in April 2019, Zachary Levi’s Shazam! tells the story of young Billy Batson, a teenage boy who can transform via the magic word “Shazam” into an adult superhero. The SDCC trailer was greeted with uncharacteristically mixed reaction from the fans, however, Zachary Levi’s unswerving commitment to the character has given us hope that Shazam! will hit the high notes and go on to become one of the best offerings from the DC Universe to date.

Eager to capitalise on the buzz surrounding Aquaman, Warner Bros. has released an all-new poster for their upcoming blockbuster featuring Levi in full costume, lounging against a wall, chewing bubble gum and playing with his cell phone.

During an exciting panel at London Film & Comic-Con earlier this year, Levi promised the fans a true rollercoaster ride of DC Comics action when the movie arrives on our screens next year. His love for the character was truly refreshing and with his usual larger than life bravado in full swing, he certainly has the chops to pull the role off.

Shazam! | The New Poster Wants You To Say The Word!

Incorporated into the same universe as the Justice League, Shazam! will be an intriguing prospect. Harnessing the innocence of Tom Hanks’ all-time classic BIG and combining it with a superhero narrative is a brave undertaking and could be one of the most unique comic books adaptations ever attempted.

Shazam! arrives in cinemas on April 5th, 2019

In the meantime, Aquaman swims into UK cinemas on December 12th and the USA on December 21st.
