The great Billy Dee Williams is afforded an all-new facial sculpt for Hasbro’s latest Lando Calrissian action figure…
Lando Calrissian (Skiff Guard) is part of Hasbro’s newest wave that includes Leia (Hoth), Rio Durant and Dengar. It’s the second Lando figure from the Original Trilogy to be released in Black Series.
The first Lando figure to be released was his Bespin Administrator attire. It was good but the problem was the head, horrible paint app, it was before Hasbro started using the revolutionary digital paint app. This time, Hasbro used the digital paint app to full effect so the results are much better, they even improved the sculpt and have the right skin tone. Billy Dee Williams‘ likeness is impressive! It would be a good idea to re-release the Lando (Bespin) figure in the Archives Collection with this new head, it would make a great figure!
Lando (Skiff Guard) has 18 points of articulation. The outfit is screen accurate with good paint apps and nice details.
As always with Hasbro, there’s a real lack of accessories. Lando only comes with his helmet, a vibro-axe but no blaster pistol even though he uses one during the Jabba Palace sequence in Return Of The Jedi. It wouldn’t have cost them too much to add a blaster.

Final Thoughts:
Now that we have Lando (Skiff Guard) Leia (Dancer outfit and Boush disguise), Luke Skywalker (Return Of The Jedi) in Black Series, it would be nice to get Han Solo (Jabba’s Palace) to complete the heroes team from the Jabba’s Palace sequence!
Lando is a great figure and a fine addition to the Black Series collection!
