Rumours suggest The Lone Ranger star is in final talks to become Matt Reeves’ Caped Crusader…
It’s time to officially spring clean the Batcave.
Hot on the heels of Ben Affleck’s official retirement as the Gotham’s Caped Crusader, we are hearing reports suggesting that The Lone Ranger star Armie Hammer has entered into final talks with Warner Bros. in a deal which will see him slip into the cape and cowl for Matt Reeves’ The Batman.
According to an exclusive report via Revenge of the Fans, Hammer has become the new front runner to become Gotham’s new Dark Knight ahead of other rumoured candidates Robert Pattinson and John Krasinski. However, we will stress that this is still only a rumour and by no means confirmed by Warner Bros., but should it be proven authentic the future looks to be safe in Hammer’s capable hands.
The actor suffered a career setback with his role in Disney’s The Lone Ranger, a global mega-flop for the house of mouse, but his performances in Free Fire, Call Me By Your Name and The Social Network have cleansed his record of that fly in the ointment. And Interestingly, the actor was envisaged to become The Dark Knight a decade ago for George Miller’s Justice League Mortal, but due to the Writers Guild of America strike the project was shelved where it faded into obscurity.
Hopefully, Warner Bros. will officially comment on this rumour in the coming weeks, but should Hammer slip into the cape and cowl as the rumour suggests it should make for an awesome Batman adventure…
