The DC Universe is about to get a whole lot cooler!
With blockbuster season fast approaching and many of the biggest movies of the year coming thick and fast all eyes are on the DC Universe. Hot on the heels of its astronomical success with James Wan’s superbly immersive Aquaman, Warner Bros. is on cloud nine. Not only has the studio announced a release date for Aquaman 2, but it has also confirmed its slate for the next few years which is chocked full of exciting movies like Shazam, The Joker, Birds of Prey, Wonder Woman 1984, The Batman, The Suicide Squad and finally, the horror-themed Aquaman spin-off The Trench. Not to mention the still in development Flash movie.

Warner Bros. is working tirelessly to rebuild the DC stable from the bottom up and is pulling out all the stops to ensure the foundations are solid enough to provide a perfect platform for all future titles, and leading the charge is Shazam.
With just over a month until its release, Warner Bros. has unveiled the newest trailer for Zachary Levi’s superhero blockbuster which promises to be a spectacle, unlike anything the DC Universe has seen before.
How cool is this?
Set in the same universe as the Justice League, Shazam looks to be a captivating prospect. Channelling the innocence of Tom Hanks’ all-time classic BIG and combining it with a superhero storyline is a brave enterprise and could be one of the most unique comic books features ever attempted. Zachary Levi is clearly enjoying the role and on the strength of this new trailer, he appears to have a great future within the DC Universe.
Bravo Warner Bros. Black Adam beware!
Shazam! arrives in cinemas on April 5th, 2019.
