I’ve been waiting for Avengers: Endgame since I walked out of the theater last year just after watching the jaw-dropping conclusion of Infinity War. I can happily say that I have seen Avengers: Endgame and it was just as good as I expected it to be.

I could go on and on about the highlights of the film but the thing that stands out to me is the spark Endgame has provided for the future of the franchise. As something that is meant to be the end of a fantastic story, it’s hard to imagine the story continuing beyond Avengers: Endgame but after watching the film it’s very clear that Endgame was just the beginning of an even greater journey for these heroes. And that’s why Marvel is so smart.

Like the comics, these stories are neverending. There will always be new villains to tackle, new heroes to debut, and new directions for these characters to take. Stan Lee won’t be around to help oversee this next chapter in the MCU but I am sure he can rest easy knowing that his creations have been overlooked with such tender love and care.

I wish I could speak in greater detail about the certain aspects of the film that will be fantastic for the franchise in the coming years but I don’t want to share any spoilers. But you can be sure I will eventually delve into the film’s plot points a little more, spoilers and all, and those are going to be very fun posts to write.
