S.H Figuarts Review | Tony Stark (Iron Man 3) Second Release

Bandai Spirits updates the Iron Man 3 Tony Stark action figure to commemorate the release of Avengers Endgame

Along with the first wave of Avengers Endgame figures, S.H. Figuarts has re-released some Iron Man figures including Tony Stark from Iron Man 3! This figure had become extremely rare and went to some astronomical prices on the internet so it’s actually a good thing Figuarts did a second release on this one! I used the word re-release and not repack for a very good reason, there are some differences between these two and the packaging is new as well.

This figure comes with 6 interchangeable hands, 2 Iron Man MK-42 interchangeable arms, 2 Iron Man MK-42 interchangeable boots and 2 Iron Man MK-42 interchangeable hands. Unlike the first release, this one doesn’t come with the huge base stand from Tony’s lab.

The head sculpt is basically the same but the digital print tech has been improved compared to the first release and the hair has been painted more accurately. There’s a great likeness to Robert Downey Jr.!

The figure has 24 points of articulation with and without the Iron Man armor parts. I really like the hands they have given him, you can recreate the scene from the beginning of the movie where Tony tests his new armor! The outfit is screen accurate and has good paint apps. In terms of size, it’s a small figure, Marvel Legends Pepper Potts is taller than him, you can definitely see the difference.

Final Thoughts:

Overall, this new incarnation of Tony Stark is a great figure and boasts the best likeness to Robert Downey Jr in the 6-inch line to date.
