Annlyel launches the first in a new series focussing on the best moment from every instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe
Eleven years, twenty-two movies, over two dozen superheroes, basically, the Marvel Cinematic Universe has given all of its viewers a lot to love. And we’re not even done for the year with Spider-Man: Far from Home hopefully ending the year off with a bang. *fingers crossed*
Looking back on the twenty-two movies there are always those particular moments that in the films that manage to bring a smile to your face, goosebumps on your arms, or even tears to your eyes. With this series The Best Moment, I will share with you my favorite moment in each consecutive Marvel film. And that means we shall, of course, begin with the movie that started it all; Iron Man.
What’s the Best Moment in Iron Man?
Is this even a question. The best moment in Iron Man is easily the most iconic moment in the MCU; the moment when Tony Stark says to the world, “I am Iron Man.”
It changed the whole layout of the franchise, for suddenly there were no classic Batman routines. You see Batman is a wealthy superhero who dons the secret identity as Batman. The heads of Marvel Studio were going to do the same thing with Tony Stark/Iron Man but Robert Downey Jr. improvised the line “I am Iron Man” and the rest was history.
If not for this twist in the script would the franchise be the same? Would we love it as much as we love it now? We’ll never know right?
Iron Man isn’t, personally, one of my favorite Marvel movies but there’s no doubt without its booming success we probably wouldn’t have gotten the chance to watch a film as phenomenally crafted as Avengers: Infinity War or Avengers: Endgame and that makes me appreciate Iron Man even more.
Next up, The Incredible Hulk.
