Annlyel continues her series focussing on the best moment from every instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing with Captain America: The Winter Soldier
Until Black Panther, Avengers: Infinity War, and Avengers: Endgame, Captain America: The Winter Soldier was my favorite Marvel movie. I wasn’t a Captain America fan when I first went to see the film five years ago but after watching the movie I was a changed person. The action was riveting and well-choreographed, the music was phenomenal and chill-inducing, and the storyline was actually really engaging. I loved it! To try to pick a favorite scene is going to be tough but I’ll try and give it a try. Here goes nothing.
Hmm…the best moment of The Winter Soldier? Ah, so there are so many to choose from. I mean, the very first scene featuring Steve Rogers first interactions with Sam Wilson is enjoyable enough as it is. Or the action scene that follows as Captain America goes ninja-style on the pirates. Love it. But the best moment in the film, hands down, is when Captain America is escaping the Triskelion Building after learning it’s been besieged by HYDRA.
He rides his patented motorcycle across the bridge but here comes a Quinjet to stop him. Does it? No, because he’s awesome! He propels himself off of his motorcycle, jumps onto the jet, and singlehandedly! takes it down all by himself. Ever since I saw this moment in the movie theater for the first time, with the scene accentuated by an epically heroic music score, I have been in love with this part and I always will.
Guardians of the Galaxy comes next. Let’s do this!
