Annlyel continues her series focussing on the best moment from every instalment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe continuing with Joss Whedon’s Avengers: Age Of Ultron
The first time I saw Avengers: Age of Ultron was on opening day in New York City and it was one of the greatest movie experiences I’ve ever had. The film, which clearly isn’t greater, storywise, than The Avengers, was an ultimate blast of pure fun. The humor was enjoyable, the new heroes, Scarlet Witch, Quicksilver, and Vision, were great additions to the story, and I simply loved the film.
Now, four years later, it pales in comparison to Avengers: Infinity War and Endgame but it had its heyday. There are some scenes that over the years have become a bit boring to watch but there are also those scenes that have managed to pass the test of time.
I think, hands down, my favorite scene in the movie is the party at The Avengers headquarters, specifically the moment when Steve Rogers tries to lift the hammer. After Endgame this scene has so much more meaning and fills me with such a boundless joy that I had to name it the best moment of Avengers: Age of Ultron.
Ant-Man is next in line.
