S.H. Figuarts Review | Captain Marvel (Captain Marvel)

Thomas has an out of this world encounter with Tamashii Nations’ new Carol Danvers action figure

After a period in the Kree Star Force, Carol Danvers returns to Earth, discovers her origins while working with Nick Fury, and unlocks her full potential as the superpowered hero Captain Marvel.

Captain Marvel comes with 6 interchangeable hands, two interchangeable heads, and two plasma hand effects. Fun fact: the interchangeable hands are in the exact same position as the hands for Black Widow (Avengers: Infinity War).

The head sculpt is great, they really nailed her facial expression and they even got the mole spot if you look closely! One small thing that could be better is the hair color, I don’t think Marvel Legends got it right and I don’t think Tamashii Nations got it right either, but it’s almost there though.

As for the textures of the outfit and the colors, SHF did an excellent job and is miles better than the ML figure, the colors are much more vibrant! The use of different plastic also helps! The outfit is screen accurate and has lots of detailing!  This figure has 21 points of articulation. The helmet head sculpt is also great with vibrant colors! The inclusion of the plasma hand effects was a good idea, I love it!

Final Thoughts:

Captain Marvel is one of my favorite MCU movies and one of my favorite characters from this franchise but I wasn’t so sure about this figure. I have long thought about getting it but I finally did and I have to say I’m glad I did! It’s a great figure!
