Thomas joins the battle against the Trade Federation alongside Obi-Wan Kenobi in Hasbro’s Black Series collection

To commemorate the 20th Anniversary of Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, Hasbro has released a succession of awesome new prequel based action figures and I’m all for it. And finally, amongst these great figures is Obi-Wan Kenobi (Padawan) from The Phantom Menace!

Obi-Wan comes with his lightsaber, if you are careful, you can remove the blade and attach the hilt to his belt.

The outfit is pretty much screen accurate with the right colors and good paint apps. The only thing that missing is a fabric cape but it’s something that is also missing from the S.H. Figuarts Jedi figures! This figure has 18 points of articulation.

As for the head sculpt,  it’s not perfect but it’s pretty good, it looks like Ewan McGregor.

The exclusive Star Wars Celebration 2019 edition included an interchangeable hand to recreate Obi-Wan’s classic pose but this version doesn’t include the hand!

Final Thoughts:

Overall, the new Obi-Wan Kenobi is a great figure. Long live the prequels!
