The tug-of-war between Sony and Disney leaves Spidey on the brink!
Marvel and Sony have been playing tug-of-war with the beloved Marvel hero Spider-Man for the past few years. With Sony growing a larger presence in entertainment with its Spider-Man movies (Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Venom) it seems the company is wanting to take its most popular web-slinger back from Marvel.

According to Deadline, negotiations between Sony and Disney is getting heated and neither side is willing to bend to the other. This means our very wonderful and beloved Peter Parker, played by Tom Holland, may really turn to dust before our eyes. If the deal goes south and Marvel officially loses the rights to Spider-Man he will no longer be a part of the MCU and will most likely have to be written out of the story. That’s almost a more depressing thought than knowing Iron Man is dead.
Let’s hope Peter Parker can survive the Sony/Disney war.
