Introducing Babu Frik – The tiny Anzellan droidsmith who works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi

The name Babu Frik took the world by storm this past week during the Triple Force Friday Star Wars reveal when the all-new Black Series action figure of C-3PO was unveiled. Standing alongside our beloved protocol droid was a tiny little alien which the cast referred to as Babu Frik, a character they looked upon with deep affection. This immediately gave birth to fan speculation and the mystery of Babu Frik began!

Well, after almost a week of mystification, Lucasfilm and its affiliates for The Rise of Skywalker have put us out of our misery and revealed the character in all his glory!

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker arrives in our galaxy this December — and today Lucasfilm and the film’s eight promotional partners have joined forces via a coordinated social moment to reveal the first look at Babu Frik. The tiny Anzellan droidsmith, first glimpsed in toy form during the Triple Force Friday Livestream event, works among the Spice Runners of Kijimi and can reprogram or modify virtually any droid — regardless of the security measures protecting its systems.
