REPORT | Ahsoka Tano and Padme Amidala Coming to Star Wars: Battlefront II

The Prequel stalwarts will be the next heroes to enter the Battlefront!

With Star Wars: Battlefront II about to see major rival to its supremacy emerge in the form of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, all eyes are on EA Star Wars to see how the team behind the game will keep Battlefront relevant.

The recent Clone Wars updates have gone a long way to appease the Prequel lovers among us and the addition of all-new Clone skins and Clone Wars era heroes have rejuvenated the platform on multiple fronts. Case in point, alongside Droidekas and Republic Commandos new heroes like Obi-Wan Kenobi, Anakin Skywalker, Count Dooku and General Grievous have all made their debut as playable characters. And yet, we fans are always craving the next big hero. Many of us have called for Commander Cody and Captain Rex, others are yearning for Jango Fett and the return of beloved bounty hunters like Dengar and Greedo. But the two major characters at the top of the wishlist are Padme Amidala and Ahsoka Tano.

Book Review | Star Wars: Ahsoka (A Second Opinion)

The wait is over.

The Future of the Force has uncovered evidence that suggests that both Ahsoka Tano and Padme Amidala are expected to debut on Star Wars: Battlefront II in the coming months. An official release date has yet to emerge, nor have EA Star Wars confirmed their arrival, but it is not beyond a reasonable doubt to assume that their arrival is expected to coincide with the launch of the final series of The Clone Wars on Disney+.

REPORT | Ahsoka Tano and Padme Amidala Coming to Star Wars: Battlefront II

Word of their involvement comes from the official voice recording of General Grievous’ audio lines performed by Star Wars legend Matthew Wood. During the recording of his lines, General Grievous is heard to challenge Ahsoka Tano to a “REMATCH” and threaten the welfare of Padme Amidala. Grievous even goes as far as to threaten revenge for the Malevolence, a Separatist starship which was destroyed by Anakin and Padme during an episode of The Clone Wars. Like any other character, Matthew Wood recorded a series of quips and taunts for confrontations with many characters including Obi-Wan, Anakin, Chewbacca and Han Solo … and now Ahsoka and Padme.

You can listen to the full recording here:

Sadly, there is no word on how many credits these characters will cost to unlock, nor does it confirm their individual skillsets or special moves, but this is thrilling news. With so much Clone Wars-inspired content being introduced into the game it was only a matter of time before these saga legends made their debut. And with the final season of Clone Wars coming to Disney’s new streaming service in February, the timing could not be better for these powerful women to take the battle to the Separatist Alliance.

More as it develops…

  1. So sad the game is ending now and we still haven’t gotten them. Hoping to see them in Battlefront 3! Ventress too maybe?

    1. Hi, thanks for reaching out. Sadly, the most recent update for Battlefront II has been confirmed as its last. With the imminent arrival of the PS5, EA Star Wars will be turning its attention to a brand new game and will no longer update SWBF2.

  2. i was hoping for dark side characters like dark rey, and ventress. but i do like ahsoka and padme a bit.
