Suit-up and defend the world against Ultron in ILMxLAB’s all-new Avengers inspired virtual reality game
After its incredible success with the grippingly intense and immersive Star Wars: Vader Immortal virtual reality adventure game, ILMxLAB has set its sights on the Marvel Universe. Together with Marvel Studios, the studio has unleashed an all-new trailer for the highly anticipated experience titled Avengers: Damage Control. For the game, players must help Shuri defeat Ultron by suiting up in Wakandan Iron Man-like armour and joining the fight alongside Marvel legends like Spider-Man, Ant-Man, The Wasp, Hulk and Doctor Strange.
The games plot description is as follows:
“Shuri has recruited your team to test a powerful new prototype design combining Wakandan and Stark technologies. When an enemy from the past seeks to steal the technology, you’ll fight alongside some of your favourite Avengers like Doctor Strange, Wasp, Ant-Man and more to stop the attack before they unleash an oppressive new age upon the world.”
For your chance to play Avengers: Damage Control, you’ll have to make the pilgrimage to one of many “The Void” locations. If you’re unfamiliar with The Void, it’s an arcade-like chain that hosts a variety of immersive VR experiences. While playing Damage Control, The Void staff will blast players with elements such as heat, cold and wind, as a way of making players feel like they’re truly at the heart of the action.
Okay, this officially looks pretty damn awesome so make sure to book your tickets fast … because if you don’t you’ll only be disappointed when you get there and discover I am first in the queue!
