EW offers us an all-new image of Keri Russell’s mysterious new character from The Rise of Skywalker
Entertainment Weekly has given us a new look at Keri Russell‘s mysterious Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker character. The helmeted rogue operative Zorii Bliss appears to be holding an unmarked coin or data storage device of some kind (we’ll let you guess … but it should be familiar to the eagle-eyed among you) and communing with an unknown associate.
Described as a human female, Zorii Bliss is a scoundrel native to the frigid planet Kijimi. She is the leader of the Spice Runners of Kijimi. During the war between the First Order and the Resistance, Bliss is neutral and spends time in Kijimi’s Thieves’ Quarter. The character is loosely described as an “old friend” of Resistance hero Poe Dameron
When asked about her character, Russel is quoted as saying:
“She has a little bit of a checkered past and maybe some questionable morals, but she’s really an old friend of Poe’s. I think the entrance of Zorii is there to describe more of who he was, y’know, in a very intimate way and a familiar way, and the friends are sort of like, ‘What do you mean, you know him?’”
Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker is unleashed from December 20th.
