Is Valkyrie ready to take the lead in Taika Waititi’s highly anticipated Thor sequel
Yes, you’re probably thinking to yourself, “But it’s called Thor: Love and Thunder.” Emphasis on Thor. Well, yeah it’s the fourth Thor film but sooner or later he will have to become nothing more than a memory like Iron Man, Captain America, and Black Widow. That means Valkyrie is the next in line to take the spot of the powerful Asgardian warrior that Thor has filled for seven years now. And the “passing of the baton” has already begun at the end of Avengers: Endgame when Thor made her King of Asgard, a shocking development that I definitely didn’t see coming.
While Thor will undoubtedly play a major role in Thor: Love and Thunder I think it’s very obvious that Valkyrie and Natalie Portman’s new and improved Jane Foster/Mighty Thor are going to steal the show.
So…why shouldn’t they solidify her new position in the Marvel Cinematic Universe by making her the lead of the film? Not only would it be exciting to see Valkyrie as only the third woman to helm her own movie in the MCU but honestly, it would just be nice to see her in such an important role.
She stole the show in Thor: Ragnarok with her gripping debut. Let’s see her dominate the story with her next major role.
