Timothy Zahn’s Thrawn Ascendancy Book One: Chaos Rising, coming May 2020
With Timothy Zahn‘s unforgettable Thrawn trilogy coming to an end this past summer, all eyes were on the beloved author to carve a new path for the master tactician of the Empire. It wasn’t long before Del Rey unveiled plans for the author to embark upon an all-new Grand Admiral Thrawn series called Thrawn: Ascendancy.

The series has been confirmed as an all-new trilogy which will explore Thrawn’s journey through the unknown regions of wild space, a fate revealed during the finale of Star Wars Rebels and touched upon in the original Thrawn trilogy. And today, Del Rey has revealed the first cover art for book one titled CHAOS RISING as well as a release date of May 2020.
