The latest Star Wars featurette reveals Star Wars legend Warwick Davis back in character as Wicket the Ewok
The latest featurette for The Rise of Skywalker took us behind the scenes of J.J Abrams’ climax to the saga and revealed this wonderful image of Star Wars legend Warwick Davis sporting a very familiar costume. Dressed as the adored Ewok, Wicket W. Warrick, Davis is pictured gazing at the iconic mask he first wore during Return of the Jedi back in 1983.
Could this image confirm that the events of The Rise of Skywalker will see our heroes return to the forest moon of Endor? Lucasfilm has already confirmed that the bulk of the Death Star’s wreckage crash-landed on the neighbouring moon of Kef Bir, but with Warwick back in costume as Wicket, surely a reunion between Chewie, Leia and Wicket is on the cards!
Okay, maybe that’s the kid in me yearning for a childhood dream to come true, but I can still dream! Over to you Lucasfilm, make this old fool feel like a kid again!
Star Wars: The Rise Of Skywalker brings the saga to an end from December 19th.
