Godzilla vs Kong “The Thrill of a Lifetime” says Director Adam Wingard

Wingard damned excited about his crazy monster movie!

A few months ago, Adam Wingard’s hotly-anticipated monster smackdown Godzilla vs Kong was pushed back several months from March to November prompting fans to fear for the longevity of the Monsterverse.

Many began to fear that Warner Bros. had grown disillusioned with the franchise following the lacklustre box office response to Godzilla: King Of The Monsters, but the studio put our fears to rest when they confirmed that the delay was purely down to enduring the movie was the very best it can be.

KING KONG | King of the Monsters

In the weeks since the silence from the creative team behind the ultimate monster face-off has been deafening, but today director Adam Wingard has broken his silence to praise what he calls “The thrill of a lifetime!”

Wingard took to Instagram to say:

In a time when monsters walk the Earth, humanity’s fight for its future sets Godzilla and Kong on a collision course that will see the two most powerful forces of nature on the planet collide in a spectacular battle for the ages. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into uncharted terrain and unearths clues to the Titans’ origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever.

For me personally, Godzilla vs Kong is the biggest and my most hotly anticipated movie of the year. As a monster movie fan, the idea of witnessing the showdown between the biggest monsters in Hollywood history is a tantalising prospect and I cannot wait to bear witness to the ultimate clash of the titans.

But to be clear … in this universe KONG is KING!

Godzilla Vs. Kong will now stomp into cinemas on November 20th 2020.
