Thomas checks out the new Rey and D-O S.H. Figuarts set from Tamashii Nations‘ The Rise Of Skywalker range
This figure includes 10 interchangeable hands, Rey’s reforged lightsaber blade, Rey’s reforged lightsaber hilt, Rey’s staff, Rey’s blaster, a removable hood, D-O and a mini stand for D-O. This time you can actually attach the lightsaber hilt on the figure’s belt!
D-O is a really tiny figure but it seems to be fairly accurate in terms of size Only the head can move. Despite the size of this figure, Figuarts still managed to get all the details and great paint apps on it! Rey’s headsculpt is basically the same as The Last Jedi version except it has a different hair cut and only one basic facial expression. So it’s an amazing sculpt, it really looks like Daisy Ridley!
This figure has 21 points of articulation and includes two additional elbow POA that The Last Jedi figure didn’t have so it’s a big improvement as this additional elbow articulation allows for a better range of poseability.
This outfit is screen accurate, nicely detailed and has beautiful paint apps!
The hood system is a bit tricky as once you put the head into the hood, it’s annoying to remove it from the hood, other than that I really like it! The blaster is the same as the TLJ one, so it’s detailed and well painted. The lightsaber is obviously new and is nicely painted. As for the staff, it’s the first time Figuarts has released it and it’s great good paint apps and it’s hard plastic so it won’t bend.
A great new figure from the epic conclusion of the Skywalker saga!
