Diego Luna claims the Rogue One spin-off series is all set to go!
Rogue One star Diego Luna said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that his hotly anticipated spin-off series will start shooting this year. With production on the currently untitled Obi-Wan Kenobi series hindered by script rewrites, it seems Lucasfilm has fast-tracked the adventures of Cassian and K-2SO to fill the void.
Luna, speaking about the upcoming Star Wars Disney+ series said:
“I can’t wait. It is really cool to tell a story where you already know the ending. It is a different approach because of the beauty and it’s how things happen. It’s not just what happens. It’s not the typical way of approaching a story. It’s about how things happen, which in fact, is the same that happened in Rogue One. You know the ending, but you don’t know how it happened, and we have that challenge in front of us again, which is exciting.”
The as of yet untitled series is scheduled to debut sometime in 2021.
