New The Batman Set Photos/Videos Emerge

The Dark Knight takes a tumble during a Batcycle chase on the set of The Batman

To the Batmobile … or Batcycle in this case!

With filming on The Batman well underway, it was only a matter of time before more images and videos emerge from the increasingly public sets. In recent weeks, the film crew has swapped the busy streets of London for the Glasgow Necropolis, and today the Dark Knight (or his stunt double) was caught on set during the filming of a high-speed Batcycle chase.

The Batman - Robert Pattinson Test Footage Batsuit Revealed

The images reveal a better look at the new Batsuit and its more urban, tactical characteristics. Also notable are the cool-looking gadgets that align the suit. And, if that isn’t enough to have you yelling “To the Batmobile” with glee, the pics also reveal our first look at the sleek new Batcycle. Check it out:

The video reveals Batman‘s stunt double and an anonymous woman riding through the Necropolis at high speed, but unfortunately for Dark Knight’s stand-in, the slick conditions end with him taking a VERY un-Batman-like tumble.

Whether or not the video reveals Catwoman riding on the second vehicle remains to be seen, however, with filming underway and in such an open location we should expect more set pics to filter through over the coming days. At least the stunt double walked away reasonably unharmed!

Alongside Robert Pattinson who will be swinging into action as Bruce Wayne/Batman, Matt Reeves has cast Zoë Kravitz as Catwoman, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner Gordon, Andy Serkis as Bruce Wayne’s faithful butler Alfred Pennyworth, John Turturro as Gotham City crimelord Carmine Falcone and recently, Colin Farrell was confirmed to be joining the cast as Oswald Cobblepot aka The Penguin.

The Batman will hit multiplexes on June 25, 2021.

So what do you think of the new Batsuit and Batcycle? Are you impressed or are you waiting for glorious publicity stills before you make your final judgement? Let us know in the comments section.
