'The Rise of Skywalker' Needs To Be Available on Disney+

Annlyel calls upon Disney to release The Rise Of Skywalker NOW!

If you haven’t heard then you’ve pretty much been detached from society but there is a pandemic threatening the globe called the COVID-19, a deadly virus that is taking the world by storm. Because of this virus, hundreds of thousands of people are being told to stay home, meaning our time with our televisions has become ever more important.

Due to the virus, Disney+ in the United States has already made some big moves, releasing Frozen II on the streaming service months before its original release. Disney/Pixar film Onward, starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, will be available to stream on Disney+ in April. And yet, there’s one major film that’s missing from the list of early-to-stream media and that’s The Rise of Skywalker.

Rey and Kylo Ren - Star Wars The Rise of Skywalker

The final film in the Skywalker Saga became available to buy digitally four days earlier than expected two Fridays ago. Now, fans are waiting for Disney to pull back the plug and release it on Disney+ for our viewing enjoyment, I being one of them. I mean come on Disney! The movie has already made over a billion dollars. Why release a film that’s barely made over $100 million (Onward) but not release a movie that people are far more interested in seeing on the streaming service? And honestly, it would be a win-win situation for everybody.

Not only would we get the pleasure of being able to watch the Star Wars film on Disney+ as many times as we feel like but it would undoubtedly drive more people to potentially subscribe to the service to see it.

Let’s hope Disney+ delivers yet another surprise next month and releases The Rise of Skywalker.
