The Mandalorian and The Child are coming to the Tamashii Nations S.H. Figuarts collection!
Following the release of the awesome Black Series action figure of The Mandalorian, fans have been eagerly waiting to see if Tamashii Nations would follow suit and announce its own version for the S.H. Figuarts lineup. Thankfully, we didn’t have to wait too long and soon the Mando will be taking pride of place in collections around the world.
However, the awesomeness doesn’t end there. In recent days, Tamashii has announced plans for a second Mandalorian action figure, this time boasting the iconic Beskar armor seen in the later episodes of the series which is expected to be released in September. Even better, the manufacturer has also revealed that it will also produce an action figure incarnation of The Child, or Baby Yoda as he is more affectionately known.
If that isn’t enough to send you into delirium, the toy giant has unveiled some incredibly cool new promotional images of both figures which you can see below:
The updated S.H. Figuarts Mandalorian action includes multiple interchangeable hands, a pistol, a flame thrower effects pieces, a whistling bird effect, a knife, an Amban Rifle, and a jet pack with flame effects. Tamashii has selected a soft goods fabric to reproduce the cape instead of plastic which is sure to divide collectors, but it does not detract from what otherwise is a sensational looking figure. The figure is scheduled to ship out in September, at a price of 7,700 Yen (about $71 USD).
The S.H. Figuarts The Child will include his transport pod, a fabric outfit, interchangeable heads, a bowl of soup, and a backpack. The figure will be articulated, though how many moveable joints have not been confirmed. The Child is set for release in September. The figure is priced at 3,850 Yen (about $36 USD).
Pre-orders have been confirmed to begin on April 3. Happy hunting!
