Annlyel shares her to picks of what to check out on Disney+ during the coronavirus lockdown
The COVID-19 pandemic has forced families to remain indoors as much as possible so…we’re watching a lot of television. Disney+ is now available to many in Europe and that means we all get to sit down with our loved ones, young and old, and watch a whole bunch of stuff that’s cool for the family. So, what better than to give you a list of the five best things to watch from each category on Disney+; Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, and National Geographic. So, let’s end the delay and get to this list.
African Cats
I’ve seen a lot of nature films and African Cats is undoubtedly the best one that I’ve seen. Following the stories of a cheetah mother and her three cubs and a pride of lions and their “lion king”, Disneynature delivers an utterly riveting, sometimes horrifying nature film that doesn’t hold back on the surprises and the inspiring moments.
Frozen
One of the greatest Disney princess movies to be made, this film takes the classic Disney princess tale and flips it on its head with surprises galore. But don’t worry, there are still some lovable/inspiring princesses, sing-along-worthy songs, and if you’re not ready, it could bring a tear or two to your eyes. It’s that good!
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Want something a little more adult with plenty of humor, likable (or even lovable) characters, and some great action scenes? This is the film to turn on and enjoy.
The Lion King
If you’ve never seen this film before just…make sure you have tissues on hand because this movie is phenomenal. With a moving score and a perfect story, The Lion King is undoubtedly one of the best-animated movies that I’ve seen before.
Pinnochio
This movie birthed the song “When You Wish Upon a Star.” End of sentence.
Next up, Pixar. 👍
