Carl is on hand with his recommendation of what to watch whilst in self-quarantine.

To help beat the coronavirus blues, for the foreseeable future, members of team Future of the Force will be on hand with our recommendations of awesome entertainment to check out whilst in self-quarantine. Whether its the best TV shows, ultimate movie marathons or lesser-known gems, we’ll be here to keep you entertained during this difficult time.

The Secret Of My Success

Now, most people will always think of the ‘Back To The Future‘ trilogy when Michael J. Fox is mentioned. But back in 1987, he starred in ‘The Secret Of My Success‘, a box office hit around the world. In it, he played the character of Brantley Foster, a young man who dreams of making it big in the business world of New York. Rejected at almost every turn for his lack of real-world experience, he uses an extremely tenuous familial link to get an entry-level position at the company run by his ‘Uncle’ Howard Prescott, a job in the mailroom. However, after driving home an executive’s wife who in turn seduces him and then being revealed as being his ‘Aunt’ Vera, Prescott’s wife, a hilarious adventure begins which ends with Brantley posing as a newly hired executive within the company and falling for his co-worker Christie, who just happens to be Howard’s secret mistress.

Although the film is thirty-three years old now, it is still an entertaining film that will give the kids a giggle and does contain some scenes that will make the adults roar with laughter. I won’t reveal what the scenes are but they are guaranteed to make the parents hide their faces at times. Fox shows he’s not just a one-trick pony with the film and proves he has a wonderful sense of comic timing. Along with ‘Teen Wolf‘, the actor gives the world two brilliant comedies that the whole family can sit down and enjoy. Why not check them out!

Let us know if you have any suggestions of great movies or TV shows our readers should check out and we’ll feature and share them with the FOTF community.

Stay safe.
