Timothy Zahn’s Grand Admiral Thrawn will now strike back on September 1st
Great news Thrawn fans. News is emerging from Del Rey/Star Wars Books that the release of Book One in Timothy Zahn’s new Star Wars: Thrawn Ascendancy series, “Chaos Rising” has been brought forward by a month. The novel was originally scheduled to hit the shelves on May 5, 2020, but unforeseen scheduling conflicts forced the publisher to delay the release until October. Now, we are hearing that the book will now be unleashed on September 1st.
Here’s the official line:

This is welcome news. As a Thrawn fan, I was troubled when Del Rey Star Wars announced the unforeseen scheduling conflict that had forced a delay to the book’s hotly-anticipated release. But at least we can all look forward to returning to the galaxy far, far away alongside our favorite Imperial tactician one month earlier than expected.
Also of note, the publisher has confirmed that the audiobook version will once again be narrated by Marc Thompson.
Mark the date on your calendar. Grand Admiral Thrawn strikes back on September 1st.
